Tour de Yorkshire Along the Coast

With three challenging stages, Stage One visits The Yorkshire Coast on Friday 28th April 2017.

The event also coincides with the May Day Bank Holiday weekend, so it's the ideal time to enjoy some Yorkshire Hospitality!

Some Tour de Yorkshire Stage One stats ... Total stage length: 173km; Three King of the Mountain Climbs: Garrowby Hill, Goathland & Robin Hood's Bay; Two Sprints: Pocklington & Whitby Abbey; Total ascent: 1,940m

Stage One gets underway outside Bridlington Spa and heads into Pocklington for the first intermediate sprint. The classified climbs up the Côte de Garrowby Hill and Côte de Goathland will get the legs pumping before the race hits the coastline again at Whitby, and the riders will get a great view of the Abbey as they contest the second sprint of the day. The route continues on to Robin Hood’s Bay for the third and final climb and then it’s full steam into Scarborough for the now-legendary finish along North Bay.

So, what's happening along the Yorkshire Coast this autumn?

You're spoilt for choice for things to do in this beautiful part of the world!

Nearby attractions include Filey Bird & Animal Park; Playdale Farm; Alpamare  and many more.

Peasholm Park, both in Scarborough; RSPB Bempton Cliffs; East Riding Leisure in Bridlington and many, many more.
